{Worship Wednesday} My Savior My God

My Savior My God by Aaron Shust:

I am not skilled to understand
What God has willed, what God has planned
I only know at His right hand
Stands One who is my Savior
I take Him at His word and deed
Christ died to save me this I read
And in my heart I find a need
For Him to be my Savior

That He would leave His place on high

And come for sinful man to die
You count it strange, so once did I
Before I knew my Savior

My Savior loves, my Savior lives
My Savior’s always there for me
My God He was, my God He is
My God He’s always gonna be

Yes, living, dying let me bring
My strength, my solace from this spring
That He who lives to be my King
Once died to be my Savior

I love when this song comes on the radio. It is just a great time to forget all the traffic that is around me and remember who my Savior is! He left his throne in heaven, came to this earth, and died for me! He loves me, he lives for me, and he’s always there for me. He was, he is, and he’s always going to be. Just take a minute to wrap your head around that. What does this song mean to you?

To me, this song means that my God loves me! He is my father and I am his child. Like many fathers, he would do anything to protect me, and he is always there for me. That is a promise no one on this earth can make! I love this song because it is a reminder for me to remember who my God is, that he loves me, and that he is right here with me! He will never leave me and he will always guide me in the right direction.

I hope you enjoyed this {Worship Wednesday}. Please let me know what your favorite worship song is. I would love to do a post about it! Check back next week for a new devotional and the next {Worship Wednesday}!
